The rescue centre
A home and a place in school for girls who have nowhere safe to go.
Alongside its day pupils and boarders, Lenkai takes in girls escaping female genital mutilation and forced marriage, and keeps them in school.
What we do
Girls who come to the rescue centre live in the school’s boarding wing, under the Rescue & Boarding Head, and learn in the same classes as every other pupil.
Because Lenkai now teaches through Junior and Senior School, a girl can stay from the day she arrives until she finishes school.
Hope Beyond Foundation
The school works alongside the Hope Beyond Foundation, founded by Rev. John Parit, which has rescued more than 500 girls in Kajiado County.

Why you will not see their faces
A rescued girl’s face or story on the open internet can put her at risk from the people she escaped. This website does not name or show any girl in the rescue programme.
